"The new Rhett bench is becoming one of the most popular spots on campus. Taking an athlete recruit on a campus tour, the women’s basketball coaching staff couldn’t resist a friendly sit-down: assistant coach Sarah Hope (COM’17) (from left), head coach Marisa Moseley (CAS’04), and assistant coaches Kate Barnosky and Darren Bennett. Donated by the BU Alumni Council, Rhett was designed by sculptor Virgil Oertle and is between the BU Beach and the Alan and Sherry Leventhal Admissions Center."

"The unveiling was AMAZING. We have had so much activity around the Highlander.  When we unveiled it, we had the university president, athletics director, Highlander mascot, bagpiper, cheerleaders, dance squad and our alumni board. We had a grand audience of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members."

"The bench is a focal point on our campus, located outside the building housing among other things, our university president and enrollment management services. It is photographed often when prospective students and alumni visit campus. It’s absolutely gorgeous."

“Everyone loves taking a picture on the Cosmo Bench, especially on the weekends and during graduation. We see athletes, new students, current students and just about everyone sitting with Cosmo.”
